For Yohanri and Luzmey, there couldn't have been a more meaningful place than Old Havana, Cuba. Walking through centuries-old cobblestone streets, surrounded by colorful colonial architecture and the unmistakable rhythm of Havana, every corner felt like it was made for their story.
As a wedding photographer based in Yuma, Arizona, I had the privilege of traveling internationally to Cuba to document this beautiful chapter of their lives. Traveling for love stories has become one of my greatest passions, and sessions like this remind me why I love photographing couples around the world.
A Love Story in the Heart of Havana
From the very beginning, Yohanri and Luzmey were simply themselves.
No elaborate posing.
No pressure.
Just genuine smiles, quiet conversations, laughter, and moments that unfolded naturally while we wandered through one of the most beautiful historic cities in the Caribbean.
Old Havana has a unique energy.
The weathered walls, vintage balconies, narrow streets, and warm Caribbean light create an atmosphere that's impossible to recreate anywhere else. Every block offered a new backdrop that felt timeless.
One of my favorite moments happened as we walked through the quiet streets before sunset. The city slowly came alive while the soft golden light wrapped around them, creating photographs that feel cinematic yet completely authentic.
Later, we explored the beautiful stone archways, the historic plazas, and finally reached the famous waterfront just before blue hour, where the city lights began to glow and Havana transformed into something magical.
Those are the moments I love capturing—not just beautiful portraits, but memories that transport couples back to exactly how that day felt.

Although I'm based in Yuma, Arizona, photography has taken me far beyond my hometown.
